GlobalSecurity.org 23.04.2026 21:30 21 April 2026 Contract Amendment No. 10 to the PPA Programme was signed between OCCAR-EA, acting on behalf of Italy, and the Temporary Consortium composed of Fincantieri and Leonardo. Valued at approximately EUR 392 million , the Amendment formalises the upgrade of the PPA units from the Light and Light Plus configurations to the Full Combat System standard. The Amendment also introduces enhanced cyber defence capabilities and provides for the acquisition of advanced Remotely Operated Vehicle and Unmanned Underwater Vehicle systems, further strengthening the operational effectiveness of the PPA fleet.
